Multicore Solder Hobby Pack

A small coil of 40/60 flux-cored solder wire, can be used for that tiny touch-up job.

Made for electrical use, the solder wire is 1.6mm diameter and is perfect for medium duty soldering such as car wiring.

Multicore solders are made of high grade alloys, with a 5 core flux pattern to ensure consistent soldering performance for the entire length of solder wire.

Electroluminescent (EL) Backlight Transformer

Electroluminescent or EL backlights are used where low power backlighting is required. Typically used in battery powered appliances, it is characterised by a soft blue light behind liquid crystal displays (LCDs).

Unlike LED backlighting, EL requires a high voltage-high frequency supply. EL inverters are available, but for some applications it may be better to have the inverter as part of the main PCB, or maybe you just want to see how one works. It was made for a 16x2 LCD, but can drive larger backlights at a lower brightness.
