Since 1976 Computronics has built a reputation as a respected market leader in its industry sectors in Australia and New Zealand. Computronics specialises in the development and manufacture of microcomputer based products for the agricultural, leisure and transport industries.

Computronics currently employs approximately 65 staff throughout Australia and Europe. The Company's operations and manufacturing base is located at modern premises in Technology Park, Bentley in Western Australia with the Company being managed by executive directors, Ole Hansen and David Sharp.

In the late 1970's the Company became among the first in the world to design and build electronic control products for the agricultural market and has remained at the forefront of industry developments in a number of niche markets for over twenty years. Today, the Company's Agricultural Division, incorporating the Farmscan brand supplies agricultural electronics that are fitted either standard to domestically produced machinery or supplied into the aftermarket through over 200 dealer outlets in Australia. Farmscan focuses on delivery of end-to-end solutions to the broadacre grower to assist in facilitating efficient utilisation of primary production resources.

In 2001 Computronics acquired Precision Farming Australia Pty Ltd, a company specialising in complementary GPS guidance and automatic tractor steering technology.

Computronics Electronic Display Systems (EDS) Division has been in the forefront of electronic display systems technology in Australia since 1982 and is an Australian market leader in the electronic signs market. The EDS Division is focused on the leisure and public transport industries, providing tailored information and messaging display systems for sporting centres, cinemas, gaming venues, airports and railways.

Computronics also has a Components Division that imports, stocks and sells electronic components used by its Agricultural and EDS Division as well as distributing electronic components to manufacturers Australia wide. This Division enables distributor pricing level benefits to be passed on to the Agriculture and EDS divisions.

In 1998, the Company opened modern premises in Technology Park Bentley, which houses the manufacturing, research, distribution and administrative operations. The Technology Park premises provide the Company with sufficient production capacity to meet the Company's demands into the foreseeable future.

A strong research and development focus has existed within Computronics since the Company's inception. This focus has enabled Computronics to not only generate new products but tailor solutions to fit a client's specific requirements. Computronics has invested significant resources in its product development department with this investment providing the basis for the Company's current range of end-to-end solutions as well as providing the foundation for future product innovation and development.
