SCC3 - Silicone Conformal Coating

SCC3 is a flexible, transparent modified silicone resin conformal coating. It is designed to meet the highest defence standards in both Europe and the United States.

It holds approvals including the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) DEF-STAN 59/47 Issue 4, and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) QMJU2.

SCC3 is designed to be resistant to common solvents and can only be removed with a specific gel. It may be soldered through to allow rework.

It is suitable for dip coating, spraying and brushing, and has a family of associated products such as a removing gel (DRG) and gel thickened version (DCE).

HPA - High Performance Acrylic

High Performance Acrylic Conformal Coating is a flexible transparent acrylic coating for the protection of electronic circuitry formulated to meet the highest defence and aerospace requirements.

HPA is designed to be removed with Electrolube Ultrasolve. HPA is approved to US MIL-1-46058C, Qualification Reference 46058-562-9

APL - Acrylic Protective Laquer

A flexible transparent acrylic conformal coating to protect electronic assemblies within the commercial sector from harmful environments, i.e., humidity, salt spray etc.

Offers good electrical characteristics. Also provides excellent protection to metal windings and similar assemblies, resisting rusting over long periods.

SRC - Silicone Removable Coating

SRC is a silicone conformal coating designed to protect printed circuit boards exposed to high humidity environments. The coating is specially formulated to be easily removed with most common solvents. Electrolube Ultrasolve (ULS) is ideal.

SRC in bulk may be applied by spraying, dipping or brushing. Thinners are available to maintain the viscosity of the coating.

A UV trace is included within the coating to allow easy and reliable post-coating inspection. The stronger the reflected light, the thicker the coating layer.

CPL - Clear Protective Laquer

Clear Protective Lacquer (CPL) is a general purpose convenient coating designed to protect printed circuit boards from environmental attack.

CPL is also ideal for protecting ferrous metals from corrosion. It is available in both aerosol and bulk packaging and are 100% Ozone Friendly.

CPL may be completely removed after drying with a suitable solvent. Electrolube Ultrasolve (ULS) is ideal.

MR8008 - Polyurethane Insulating Varnish

MR8008 is a urethane alkyd type air-drying vanish, especially formulated with a UV trace to allow instant inspection. It is primarily designed for PCB coating but it may also be used for wound component dipping and as a general electrical varnish for humidity protection.

The usual application method is by dipping but the varnish may also be applied by spraying or brushing.

The varnish is amber in colour and has a distinct petroleum odour.
